Walking along the Earlswood Lakes
The footpaths in and around the area have all been part of the new improvements made by British Waterways here. Footpaths run around and in between each of the lakes, so you can tailor your walk according to how you feel, or the weather.
There are three lakes all with walks around them, Engine House Pool has good paths suitable for wheelchair access or pushchair. Terry's Pool is a nature reserve: the path on the south side is good and suitable for wheelchairs, but part of the north side footpath gets very muddy in wet weather. Windmill Pool has sailing in it. The south footpath is good, while the north footpath is dry but narrow and is not suitable for wheelchairs.
There are two circular walks of about an hour (at a leisurely pace), starting at the car park. One takes you around the outside of each of the pools.
Alternatively, head the other way from the car park, following Lady Lane up to where it meets the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal. Go down onto the towpath at Bridge 16 turning right, and follow the canal as far as bridge 17.
Come back up to street level here and follow Salter Street, veering right at the fork, and continue all the way back to Valley Road, on the junction with the Reservoir Pub.
Turn right here and follow Valley Road, alongside the NE edges of Windmill Pool and Engine Pool. This brings you back to your starting point.
