Fishing along the Exeter Ship Canal
The Exeter and District AA sells season permits, weekly and day tickets to fish the canal. Permits and tickets are also available from Exeter Angling Centre and The Bridge Cafe in town.
Fishing is available all year round, but probably late summer and the winter months are the best time to catch perch, roach and bream, and maybe tench and carp too. Maggots or bread on size 20 or 22 hooks should do the trick.
Anyone aged 12 year or over wanting to fish in English inland waters must have an Environment Agency Rod Fishing Licence, in addition to any local day tickets or permits required.
Rod licences can be purchased from any Post Office in England and Wales.
Unfortunately we don’t currently have any information on fishing and fisheries.
If you know of any, please tell us by emailing feedback@waterscape.com. We’re always happy to add information to waterscape.com.
