British Waterways have installed a catch mechanism on bridge 231, Drinkwaters Bridge as a trial to assist in the operation of the bridge.

Advice: Oxford Canal Bridge 233, Wolvercote Lift Bridge

British Waterways will be installing a catch mechanism in April 2011 on Bridge 233, Wolvercote Lift Bridge as a trial to assist in the operation of the bridge.
Waterscape will be updated once the catch has been fitted.

Thrupp Lift Bridge is now operated with a push-button control and a BW key is required. Instructions are displayed next to the control panal. A key must be purchased in advance from any of the Waterway offices or online via Waterscape.

Stoppage: Dukes Cut Lock 44A

A stoppage needs to be carried out to remove debris from the lock, which is causing operational issues.
The lock will therefore be closed from Monday 13 February to Friday 17 February 2012.For access to the River Thames please travel through Isis Lock 46.
