UPDATE (12 March 2010): Due to unexpected difficulties encountered during the execution of these works, the completion date has been altered.



UPDATE (16 February 2010): Following the delay in commencing works at this site, the completion date has been altered accordingly.



UPDATE (14 January 2010): Due to the recent adverse weather conditions, the start date for this project has been altered to Monday 25th January.



UPDATE (04 January 2010): The start date for this project has been altered to 18th January.

The boaters' facilities at Old Ford Lock will remain open for the duration of these works, however the Victoria Park Visitor Mooring site will be closed and craft will not be permitted access through Old Ford Lock.

Advice: St Pancras Way to Camley Street

The width of the towpath is to be restricted at two locations approx 100m east of St Pancras Way to permit safe working on a wall and a viewing platform.

Visitors are asked to take extra care and show consideration to on-coming towpath users when moving through the two restricted width zones.

Boat owners are requested to follow local signage regarding mooring on this stretch.

Towpath Closure only: Islington - Danbury Street to City Road Lock

UPDATE (16 March 2010): The dates for these planned works have been altered.



The towpath will be closed between Danbury Street Bridge and City Road Lock to allow improvement works to the Danbury Street towpath access ramp.

A diversionary route will be signposted.

The Islington Visitor Mooring site will still be in use but accessible only from Colebrooke Row.

Towpath Closure only: Islington - Packington Street to New North Road

The towpath in Islington between the Packington Street bridge and New North Road bridge will be closed to permit the erection of scaffolding.

Visitors are advised to follow the signed diversion route around the closure.
