River Wensum
The River Wensum flows from Fenland around the east of Norwich to join with the River Yare and onwards to the sea at Yarmouth. Its navigable length is 2.75 miles and boats can continue upstream on the Wensum into the city with all its amenities.
The bridges in Norwich, a fascinating city crammed with historic buildings, are of interest and vary in construction from red brick to cast iron. Upstream of Foundry Bridge, close to the head of navigation for hire craft, there is a yacht station.
