Waterscape.com re-launches stoppage alerts
21st Jan 2008
Waterscape.com has re-launched its popular stoppage alerts service after they were taken offline to make a series of improvements suggested by customers.
After receiving lots of feedback, the waterscape.com team have made some useful changes. Many users requested that the name of the waterway be included in the subject line and this has been incorporated into the emails. It also states in the subject field if it is a new stoppage, or if it’s an amendment or advice etc. Links on the email mean that you can click straight into other stoppages on that waterway.
Details for all waterways
The site's stoppage listings are a simple way to find out information about restrictions to navigation on Britain's canals and rivers. They include waterways operated by BW, the EA and the Broads Authority, as well as other popular cruising routes such as the Bridgewater Canal.
If you would like to receive stoppage alerts, email editor@waterscape.com and say which waterways you would like to receive alerts for. Say ALL if you would like to receive them for all waterways.
Please note, to receive stoppages, you will need to add editor@waterscape.com to your address book so that alerts are not blocked or put in your junk box.
We are currently experiencing some technical difficulties with the stoppage alerts and you may have received the same email more than once. We are looking into this and hope to have it fixed shortly. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
