Syon House & Gardens
London
TW8 8JF
Set in watermeadows on the banks of the Thames, Syon House & Gardens is the London home of the Duke of Northumberland. Built on the site of a medieval abbey dissolved by Henry VIII in 1539, the house contains one of Robert Adams' finest Georgian interiors, which have rightly been featured in numerous film and television productions.
As well as the spectacular apartments on the inside, the 200 acre parks Syon is notable for its Capability Brown gardens and includes the London Butterfly House, Needlecraft Centre, Trout Fishery garden centre and extensive facilities for children.
