The Canal Boat Project (Harlow)

  • PO Box 5768

The aim of The Canal Boat Project is to make the river accessible to all.

Two of their boats are wide-beamed with ramps and lifts for people with a disability. One of the residential boats also has a combination of double lifts and joy sticks in the stern, meaning that she can be skippered by someone in a wheelchair.

There is also a 12 seater day boat, with full disability access for day work and brief trip work at wateway festivals.

A 12 berth narrowboat is also hired out to able-bodied youth organisations.

We offer:

  • Community boat

  • Access for all
