This route takes you along the banks of the Fossdyke Navigation. The towpath is suitable for walkers although it can be grassy and rough in parts.

The route begins at Torksey Lock, close to the village of Torksey. The village is quite a walk North, but there are services close by, including a pub and a waterside restaurant. There are also a couple of campsites and caravan parks nearby if you want to stay over. Begin walking along the towpath eastwards, away from the River Trent. There will be a number of farms to spot along the way. Once you have arrived in Saxilby, there are a number of pubs to get some food and refreshments. The navigation determined the layout of the picturesque village although the church to the north of the village is a major focal point.
